ヘルベチアのツーカウンタークロノグラフです。ケースはラグからサイドまで、シームレスなラインを描きます。ラグ幅は20ミリあります。このサイズの時計でここまで幅広のラグは珍しく、迫力のあるバランス感です。ダイアルはブラックミラー、盤面の複雑な印字はメーカーロゴを除き、全て下地出しを用いており手が込んでいます。文字盤は外周からタキメーター、テレメーター、目盛りの細かなチャプターリング、インデックスを配した当時におけるスポーツ仕様です。ムーブメントはヴァルジュー社のCal.23を搭載しています。

ブラックミラーダイアルは全面に均一なエイジングが確認できます。ゴールドギルトは現在でも輝きを放ち、素晴らしい視認性です。この手のダイアルは、アラビアンインデックスの上にルミナスを配するのが定石で、その多くは黒くエイジングしています。こちらは夜光無しの文字盤のため、インデックスまではっきりと読み取れます。針は適度にエイジングを受け、燻したような渋いカラーに変化しています。ケースは仕上げの形跡がほとんど見られない、素晴らしいコンディションです。当店にて分解掃除済みで、40時間のパワーリザーブを確認しています。クロノファンクションも好調に作動していることを確認しています。

ヘルベチアはスイス語で「女神」を意味する、同国で最も象徴的な神の一人です。神の名前をメーカー名に採用したことからも、メーカーとしての気概を感じられます。当時の時計造りに思いを馳せ、着用することができます。

A two-counter chronograph from Helvetia, this timepiece features a seamless line from the lugs to the sides, with a notable lug width of 20mm, making it an uncommon and boldly balanced size for a watch of this type. The black mirror dial is intricately designed, with all engravings, except for the manufacturer's logo, executed using the sunken relief technique. The dial exhibits sports specifications typical of the time, including a tachymeter, telemeter, and a finely detailed chapter ring with indexes around the perimeter. It is powered by the Valjoux Cal.23 movement.

The uniformly aged black mirror dial adds a vintage charm. The gold gilt retains its brilliance, providing excellent visibility. The Arabic indexes, often featuring lume, are positioned above and remain clear on this non-luminous dial. The hands have undergone moderate aging, evolving into a subdued, smoky color. The case is in excellent condition with minimal signs of finishing, attesting to its remarkable condition. It has been disassembled and cleaned at our shop, with a confirmed power reserve of 40 hours and a smoothly functioning chronograph.

Helvetia, meaning "goddess" in Swiss, represents one of the most iconic goddesses in the country. The choice of the goddess's name for the brand reflects the manufacturer's ambitious spirit. Wearing this timepiece allows one to connect with the craftsmanship of that era.
